How Lovely Gifts handles information used to personalise and deliver your gifts.
Who is responsible for your information
Lovely Technology Ltd, trading as Lovely Gifts, is responsible for personal information used to operate this store. Our address is 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA. For privacy requests, email contact@lovelygifts.uk or call +44 1908 883461.
Information we handle
- Names, contact details and delivery addresses supplied by you, including a gift recipient's details where you provide them.
- Basket contents, product choices, personalised text, uploaded photographs, artwork and previews.
- Order records, support correspondence and, once live payments are enabled, payment references and status.
- Session identifiers, network and device information, and technical records used to operate and protect the service.
Please provide only information needed for your gift and make sure you have permission to share another person's photograph or details. Development checkout currently uses simulated payments and does not collect card details or money.
Why we use it
We use information to build your basket, prepare your design, check contact and delivery details, process orders, arrange production and delivery, answer enquiries and resolve problems. We also use relevant records to protect the service, investigate misuse and meet legal obligations.
Our proposed lawful bases are taking steps at your request and performing a contract for orders; legal obligation for required records; and legitimate interests for security, support and handling recipient information needed for a gift delivery. The final notice must confirm the basis for each activity before launch. Where consent is required for an optional activity, we must ask for it separately and explain how to withdraw it.
Who receives information
The service uses Cloudflare for website delivery, protection and artwork storage; IONOS for backend hosting; PlanetScale for database storage; Postcoder for selected-address and contact validation; and Clerk for account authentication where used. Printify, the selected production partner and delivery carriers receive information needed to make and deliver an order.
Authorised staff may review submitted artwork to assess whether it can be produced. Uploaded images are also screened for unsuitable content. If an image is refused, you can choose another image or contact us for help.
Before live payments open, this notice must identify the payment provider and explain its handling of information. Viva.com is being evaluated; this draft does not say that live Viva payments are already available.
Keeping information secure
The store uses HTTPS, access controls and protected backend services. Basket access uses a secure session cookie. Payment secrets belong in backend services, and you should never send card details in an enquiry or upload. No service can promise absolute security.
How long information stays
Basket access, an explicitly saved basket, uploaded artwork and an order record serve different purposes and can have different retention periods. Clearing your browser does not itself delete records held by Lovely Gifts.
Before this notice is final, we must confirm and publish the retention periods or criteria for abandoned and saved baskets, uploads, orders, support records and security logs, including backup handling and any legal retention obligations. We have not promised an automatic deletion period that applies to every record.
International processing
Some service or production partners may process information outside the UK. Before launch, we must confirm where relevant information is processed, which transfer safeguards apply and how you can obtain details of those safeguards.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, or request a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. These rights have conditions and do not always require us to erase records we must retain.
Contact us using the details above. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office. Read our cookie and browser storage information for details of storage on your device.
